My favorite female characters

Let me tell my list of favorite female character. Don't worry, the source of the anime will be told so you could search it right away. But, I think you don't have to because the anime might have been watched by you. Well, Sorry if my taste isn't that good. Whatever, I'm posting.

1, Hinagiku Katsura (Hayate no Gotoku!)

Well, the reason why this tomboy character is my favorite because she is totally my type.! Of course, it's only in the anime. Though, there are many cute and moe characters than this one. But, her personality is really the best of all. So there's no problem with her attitude and personality. Even if she is tomboy, she does have a bit feminine personality (if you watch the anime carefully).

2, Misaka Worst (To aru majutsu no index)

This character only appeared in the novel, not made to appear in the anime yet. But I'm totally waiting for her, although her personality is a bit too harsh. I think a feminine personality will suit her for the best, but I also think that she is fine by her way now. Anyway, I do love a stubborn girl because, without being stubborn, there won't be any interesting event with a girl right.? lol

3, Victorique De Blois (Gosick)

She is really a genius one, even perhaps more genius than Ichinose Hitomi (Clannad after story). At first time, I though that she hasn't any feeling because of her lack in sociality. But anyway, thanks to that boy, Kazuya Kuzo, she was able to understand what love is. Other than it, she is really cute everytime she is annoyed or pissed off. Well~ ^___^

4, Shiori (The world God only knows)

Although she is really quiet, but I love her personality. ^___^ Why.? Well, because of my feeling.? lol. Well, being silent is a part of my personality too. So I do understand each words that is said by Shiori. Or perhaps.? haha.

5, Mio (K-on!!)
Well, actually I love all characters in K-on!!. But this girl's personality is the best of them, why.? well, she is cute, diligent, coward, shy, mature, and feminine. That's it. Hahaha~.

6, Namie Yagari (Durarara!!)

This adult woman too, is a tomboy. But she is quite mature really, and has that evil looking like she doesn't care what happens to everyone around her. So I like her for being a tomboy and mature woman, and her indifference. Sometimes she is too cold to talk with, so I think it will be hard to catch her heart. lol Just kidding.

I think the list should be enough. Though I still have many favorite characters, and because there're too many to post so I decided to give it a limit. Six girls have been choosen to be posted in this blog. As myself and for myself, I should say congratulation for them.... Hahaha~

Illustration, Painting, Drawing, Sketching, and Coloring

Well, what's making me so confused is these words. Illustration, Painting, Drawing, Sketching, and Coloring. Those words have been making me wondering what's the meaning of those. So I did think about them and kill my time to make my theory about them. Of course, the theory can't be guaranteed until you learn them in english language (in university, I mean). But I'm not a university student, I'm just an ordinary highschool student.

You know, I'm currently in holiday and have nothing to do except this thing. I will post some to kill my time during holiday. Okay here I am.

- Illustration

From the word, I believe that has to be something connected with some skills in imagination. The outline is very smooth if you see it, of course. It's because the thing was edited with some program which can be helpful. Very different if you compare with Painting although illustration does take some color to make it colorful or give it life. Though, it will be easier if I give a example.

Wow, what a great anime wallpaper, it looks so real. The artist is amazing, isn't he.? Anyway, This wallpaper can be called as illustration. Taken from the link here Illustration
Many pictures which is in the link are illustrations.

- Painting

Apart from illustration, I'd say that this one is rougher than illustration because I think this doesn't use any programs that is used to edit. Purely hand-drawing, in other words. The example is below.

Of course, it's amazing that the artist can make this painting looks so real (again). This sure needs some really expert skills to make one. Or, perhaps a long experience in painting enough to make you as a maestro. Maestro,,, I can say that's the final stage of artist to achieve. Pablo Picasso, Leonardo Da Vinci, etc.

The link : Painting

- Drawing

This isn't a noun, but a verb. I believe it. Everytime you make a illustration or painting, the action can be said as "Drawing" because you are obviously making something that comes out of your imagination. Drawing is sure something that is connected with imagination. lol Just take it easy, and feel free to use this verb everytime you are talking about illustration or painting. Either of those, the result is still same.

The example... is here

So, drawing is usually done with pencils. Of course, this can't be said as illustration or painting because it doesn't have any color.

- Sketching

This is also a verb. But the function is different. Let's see, drawing means you are making something then coloring it. So the result of drawing can be either illustration or painting. Then... This one, sketching is like making something but couldn't be finished because it was purely just an idea.

In other words, before drawing, you might have to sketch first. Make outline first then draw, like the drawing above. To make it easier to understand, see the example below. This too needs pencil to do.

After sketching, then you can make a drawing by picking one of these that have been made. That's how it's.

- Coloring

Finally, this is the easiest thing to understand. Simply, coloring is about giving some colors into your drawing. And thus, will become either illustration or painting. But, I think you have to learn the basic of color so you can make the illustration or painting looks so real. Well, it isn't that easy to be able to make what we see.

But whatever we are talking about this and that. What's matters is hand-drawing. Without hand-drawing, you can't make illustration or painting. That's the very basic of art. Still there are many thing that I don't know because I'm still a beginner.

Anyway, there's one question in my mind. What's a picture, anyway.? Is it made with camera.? I can't be sure.... Oh yeah, please do remember that this is only a theory that can sometimes be wrong. Don't take it so serious. Hahaha.

Deja-vu

After watched Gosick, it was really impressive as the story went smoothly without any failure. Though, there's something that keep bothering me... This deja-vu couldn't be bear until I used the screenshoot to post in this blog.

On the third episode, I caught this girl (on the left side). At that time,,, I'm pretty sure I've seen her in somewhere... I mean in any anime that I've watched until now... But... What the hell is the anime.? I can't remember it so well. Oh well, guess I will look for its anime which has same face as this screenshoot shows.

You.? Have you seen this girl or not.? Well, I'm trying to remember it back. Although it needs some time.

How is anime produced

This is only a theory that I made myself after thinking so long. And here it's, which is most possible to be done in the way. Thou may refuse the theory if you don't agree with this. But man, this is only hobby. There's nothing wrong with making a theory like that. lol

Okay, you should've known the basic of animation, right.? That's right. Many frames are needed to make an anime. For one second, needed 24 frames or so. Wow, that's so many, isn't that.? Randomly, The time of each episode is about thirty minutes or so. Then... which means, let's back to math, 30 minutes times 60 seconds equals to 1.800 seconds. Then times it again with 24 frames and will make you need about 43.200 frames.

Of course, you can't make it alone. You need a team, producer, director, and finally studio to make anime. There are many famous anime studios in Japan. Or so, I thought. By the way, you asked what's frame.? Frame... It's like paper.? Usually, every time you want to draw and you need paper to do it. So it's named as frame. Frame is a computer language for those who is using or learning animation. That's what I know at least.

The example of frame can be seen below.

Well, these pictures is just a few of those freaking many frames. lol. Just imagine, to make one, needed about 5 hours or so. So... for those 43.200 frames, I become speechless. Japan is sure amazing for making this.! Well, if you ask where did I get these from. It's from this link. Frames

Then, after 43.200 frames are made completely with background color given. Put those together into one, and becomes an anime which we are watching now. Of course they don't forget to put some voices for songs, dialogues, etc.

Well, that's it what I know about the production of animation. Thank you for spending your time to read this.!

Pixiv

As the title shows, Pixiv is a Japanese online community for artists. For more information, you can read this link which will bring you to the wikipedia : Pixiv

Uhm, after bought it, I immediately read it and as I can guess that it's the collection of illustrations from ten countries. All illustrations are really great, good, and almost perfect. The first three of all illustrations in the book are the best in my opinion. This collection is made for 2011, seems I've lost some edition before, sigh. But nevermind, at least I've got this in my hands.! haha.

Actually I wanted to take photo, but I couldn't because the photo wasn't really good no matter what I took from. And if I post the photos, it won't look really good, so I think you can see some wallpapers in google. Just go and type "pixiv" and it will bring you to the wonderful world.! hehe. I can think that you've already known about the "pixiv". But it doesn't matter.

And, I bought the second book after "Pixiv 2011" and it's "Girl's avenue", is... the collection of famous "moe" girl animation. In the book, there are many profiles which I believe is the artist of the illustration. All are in Japanese, not english. So it's really bad for me not to be able to read the comments. But at least I'm enjoying the illustrations. lol.

Want these books.? The Pixiv 2011 costs 2,000 Yen and the Girl's avenue costs 1,950 Yen. Quite expensive... Huh, but... Oh well, whatever. Just have your money to buy if you want.

Nah, that's it for today, thank you.!

*Note : it's not like I want to sell these books, man. I'm just telling the information so you could know it too.

QED & CMB

As far as I have read many mangas to refresh my brain. I guess now is the time to tell the manga named QED and others is CMB. The author of both is same, and the name is Motohiro Katou. The genre is detective, mysterious, and school life.

I love the story, though the drawing isn't so detail. But it's so popular (in my opinion), although there's too little people who love to read it. Many people prefer conan to QED. So am I, lol. But the story of QED and CMB is really interesting and will make you so curious about the story. Perhaps, it won't make you so excited about the solution. Sometimes the solutions always uses physics and math to solve the case. Even I, don't understand it quite well. But at least, the story can teach us. lol :)

The sample is like this.

QED is Quad Erat Demonstrandum for short. Which means as "Proven", usually used after explaining the solution that you have found to solve the math problem. It's normally put after the explanation.

For CMB. I don't know what's the short for sure. But I'm sure you can find the short in the story, the story will certainly explain what's CMB. As I can remember, CMB is three rings which each ring is really valuable. So valuable that you could visit any museums you want (even for forbidden museum that couldn't let you get in even if you wanted). Not only that, you can also gain the information and money as many as you want. The information and money are used for experiment which you want to do. Of course it's only if you are a scientist. lol.

I guess CMB is a side off of QED. Why.? Because the protagonist of CMB is cousin of the protagonist of QED. And he is very young, around 10 years I guess. But he is a highschool student, I can tell that he is very genius. Not only that he is also raised by three dads who is the famous scientist, that's why he is so genius. His name is.... Crap, I forgot... lol... I can only suggest you to read the manga. :)

By the way, the protagonist of QED is also very genius. He is only 15 years old and has already graduated from university. But strange, he wants to go back to the highschool again. For that purpose, he went to Japan from America where he was living. I don't know his reason to live in Japan. Of course the protagonist of CMB is also living in Japan, he was living in English but now he is living in Japan on his own.

Genius is so strange, and I can't think what they are thinking. The sample of CMB is below.

That's it for today. Thank you for reading my essay.

A little speech about anime

Ah, since I have nothing to speak about. But since the topic is anime, so I guess I will give my speech about anime a little.

Let me see, I am watching B gata H kei for the moment. And now it's going to end, then after that I think I will watch darker than black season 2, yosuga no sora, broken blade, and suzumiya haruhi no yuutsu the movie. Right now I'm looking for some new anime.! But oh well, I guess I will do it later since my list of anime that are waiting to be watched are already full. So I take a rest from my searching and enjoy some anime which I've found so far this year.

Though, I'm in holiday and not planing to use it entirely to go somewhere because I have no money to spend. So I decided I will just stay in my house, doing some homeworks, then do my favorite interest, anime.! Oh yeah, it doesn't mean that I am not drawing, I'm drawing a manga for myself. Only for myself, but it's a bit weird everytime I read it although I'm the one who draw it, lol.

Here's my list of anime which I've watched in this year so far (only for 2011).

- Seitokai Yakuindomo
- Highschool of the dead
- Suzumiya Haruhi no Yuutsu
- Working!!
- Seitokai no ichizon
- Mitsudomoe
- Kyo no Gononi
- Tokyo Magnitude 8.0
- Sora no mani mani
- Kiss x sis

Love plus +

I've tried the game named Love Plus + on iPad, But I think the game is quite different from nintendo since you can't do anything such as having room, moving to the school, etc you can do like datesim. But this game is really different.

What can you do with this game is just communicate with her. I've manaka, Rinko, and Nene at once. Well, it's hard for me to explain, so I will post the screenshot.

See.? It's very different from what you play with nintendo. But oh yeah, I guess it's okay to play in iPad if you want. That... is if you can japanese, because this game speaks japanese only. I think this game is made just for entertainment, not to play.

The mysterious 'love' sign is not known yet. And everytime I clicks it, she always says something that I can't understand fully. But when she says something, I tried to touch her and she was very happy, thus she also says something. The sentences is different for each character. For example, Nene says 'arigatou', which means thank you, when you do something. But Manaka will say 'sugoi', which means great, instead. And so is Rinko.

It looks you have to do what as she says to you in order to increase the love parameter. It looks like this, and I can't understand it fully... haha. But if you don't do what as she says, looks it will decrease the love parameter.

There's more. I will review it to you.

This is the beginning, just touch 'communication' and it will bring you to the heroine.

This is the callender, you can add something to its calender like agenda or activities.
I think that once you added something, she will warn you or even wake you up when you set the alarm up.

This is the setting, I can't do anything with this because it all in japanese.

So, still want love plus + in your iPad, iPhone or iPod.? The cost for each application is 600 yen. I forget to mention that there's three aplications for each character. In other words, one application for one character. You can't play them all at once, guess you have to exit by press the home button and switch to manaka or rinko as you wish. Makes me tired, though.

I think this application is still in beta mode.? It's obvious since the version of this is 1.5.0. So let's wait for the next version in the future and hope for more function.!

*Note : When I was browsing for some information that the game like this.? And when I found this site, my hope has lost. Click here for the review or for those who play nintendo but don't know how to play

So, even if the game on iPad is different from nintendo, at least you can see her. :) Oh yeah, I bet you know that this game is real-time.? Actually it's interesting if you try to open the game at everytime.

Why.? When it's morning, the background will be changed and so her clothes. When it's afternoon, all will change. and when evening comes, the heroine will be at home and wearing pajamas.!

Yankomo & Seijin

After searching in the google for a while, and finally I got some information about four-panel manga and one more again types, seijin.

So, in other words, there are seven types of manga. Not five types, I'm sorry for the wrong information I posted here. But I will let it be, and post the others in this post.

I will make it really really short in order to not make you bored with long explanation.

Yankomo, as you know, this type usually uses four-panel manga such as Azumanga daioh, Lucky star, K-on!!, Kobo-chan, etc. Just check them to make you understand.

Seijin, nah, I don't want to explain this but I have no choice. This type is pornography.! So make sure that you are more than 18 years old to read this... I won't take responsibility, but this is knowledge man. Take the fact. Furthermore, I can't explain since it's about pornography and of course you have known what it is.!

That's it for today, later.

Doraemon's movies

Let me to tell how many doraemon's movies have been made in these years.? Are you still watching it anyway.? Or still reading it.? xD

Here's the list of them, make sure that you've got them all. :)

Well, another besides 2003, I don't know if there's one but perhaps there's. Anyway just keep search and you will find one or perhaps the newest one. I've read my subcription magazine and find that there's the 30th movie, the title of the movie is Doraemon : Nobita no Ningyo Daikaisen. Collect and enjoy. :)

Drawing style

According to manga that I've been reading until now. There're many styles that I couldn't mention one per one. Of course they are different each other.

Just compare onepiece and naruto. Which do you like.? I bet you don't know which, but you will take naruto because of story or drawing style.? Dunno know why you like but no need to explain it in this post, please. :)

Drawing style is like.. hmm well, it's hard to explain, but I think it will be easier if I use some picture samples to explain it.

Let's remember again about types of mangas in order to understand the concept of drawing style. From kodomo to doujinshi, and actually for some information I've found in these time. I found that there's one type, but how sad I forgot the name.! But I can search the sample for the type which I've found to show.

I have explained types of mangas before. But at this title, I will just show some samples in other to make you more understand.

- Kodomo,

This is a page of doraemon
I won't translate this :P
but you can see that the drawing style is simple so it might can be classified as kodomo

and this
This is a page of astro boy
Again, this might be classified as kodomo

But, don't be so confused. In other way to make you more understand, just take a look at its language. If the language is very easy to read and there isn't any difficult vocabulary, so you can take it as kodomo since the language is very easy (of course children would even understand it :))

- Shounen,

At this level shounen that are meant to male teenager readers. So the drawing style is up to their tastes or desires. Well, I dunno know about this either although I love shounen. Why.? it's because the drawing is good. And so is the story, but most of all it's focused on the drawing that would attract many people to read it.

And so on. There are many styles of them like this.
Of course it includes language too. Note that language is a bit easy to read. But if children can read the language as much, so it perhaps even a bit harder to tell diference between kodomo and shounen. ~.~

So, just use the drawing style as the concept of the type. Usually the hero is male, but there is also the heroin. I can only tell you to use your experience to tell the difference.

- Shoujo,

Same as shounen, but it's for female teenager readers and the drawing style is different from shounen as you can see some samples below.

Especially this manga, shugo chara, I really love it.! lol
I guess that's enough already, and I guess you can tell the difference between shounen and shoujo. And I like both, of course. I've not uploaded skip beat but anyway, that's enough already.!

- Seinen,

For this level, it's quite a bit difficult for me to search some samples to show. Because it doesn't matter if the drawing is so complex or simple, and what's matter is the story. And the story is too deep that children couldn't understand. I should have told this on the post before right.? Now I will show some samples to let you know what's the drawing style like.

and, other than it, below are tezuka's works. It can be classified as seinen although the drawing is simple

Ah, I almost forget. Please note that the language in seinen or josei is usually using some difficult vocabulary. If not believe, try to read franken fran and take your opinion that it's seinen or shounen.? Easy to tell, isn't it.? So that's why children couldn't understand the story fully although they are just taking a like to its drawing.

Nah, next.!

- Josei,

Same as seinen, but it's for adult female readers. Here's some samples.

Stop.! I've uploaded more than enough. At least you can understand now right.?

Nah, now I want to show doujinshi and one more the type that I don't know the name yet.

as you can see, the doujin-ka* usually make comic with character that they like the most and make the rest with their imagination. Such as cardcaptor sakura, inuyasha, etc. But there's also an original, it's really difficult for me to find one so I will just let this be to not make you confused.

*Doujin-ka is used to call the man who draws the manga themselves and not published it legally yet. They are just sell it at the comiket (Comic Market) themselves. They usually make the manga approximately 1.000 copy since there's law of copyright so they wouldn't get arrested or something. lol

And, finally. I can tell the information now. I ask you, what's the type of the very very first manga.? I mean, when manga was published for first time in public, what's the type.? Have no idea.? Then I will show.
Sadly, I don't know the name of type yet. But at least I can show the sample.

This is the very first type of manga that was published. And they are still exist in these days such as K-ON!!, morita wa mukuchi, nichijou, azumanga daioh, etc. Usually used for comedy, of course I still like it.

So in other words, from this mysterious type to doujinshi, mangas sure have developed fast, haven't them.? :D

If you ever want to draw on your own, do so. Don't be so shy over your drawing, just keep practice and you will get better and better through time. After all, it's your style and be glad of your style. Actually I'm also practicing drawing and my drawing isn't that good if I compare with the manga which I like or inspires me at most.

Perhaps you also have ever felt it as I tell my problems to you. That your drawing isn't that good...

But, please note that it's YOUR style. Not theirs. So I will ask you....

"What is your style.? Are you satisfied by your drawing style yet.?"

 If not...

 Keep practice.

"There is always that need to be developed."
-Leonardo Da Vinci
